Dolly In Lowell

Any further news on the Mae West biopic? I traveled down from Maine to see Dolly, my favorite performer of all time, and I was not disappointed. My friends and I were absolutely amazed at the crispness of her voice; she sounded even better than in the studio, and we all got goosebumps several times throughout the concert. Two of my friends were moved to tears as she sang "Mountain Angel" and "Coat of Many Colors." She stuck to her song list, and sang "Try" as well, which die-hard Dolly fans will recognize as her original hit "God Won't Get You," with new lyrics. It was a wonderful positive rendition of an old favorite. She was wearing a sparkly burgundy dress, and looked absolutely stunning. Not only did she sound better than we had ever heard, but she looked even better than any recent appearances on television. She was picture perfect. We were close to the stage, only five rows back. She sang for over an hour and a half, without taking an intermission. She did not return for an encore, and my heart sank when I realized that it might be a long time until I would see her again, maybe never...
